Agenda
Introduction
Binary Blue is a fully WP 2.5 compliant, heavily AJAX enhanced WordPress theme. Its ZIP package contains more than a dozen different schemes, among them the fabulous True Blue style, which is an improved port of the style with the same name originally created by Steve Lam and included with his explicit permission.
Binary Blue contains a fully degradable AJAX enhanced Paged Comments function, which is sort of world exclusive at the current point of time, as there’s no other WordPress plugin or theme yet, which would support such a feature.
Each of the AJAX enhanced features degrade automatically and gracefully if a visitor with a non-javascript browser visits the blog; the functionality then defaults automatically to the default behaviour of any common theme.
Binary Blue is not only a “simple” theme but a complete theme suite resp. sort of a theme platform, which enables you as the user to configure lots of options, so you can customize the complete theme without the need to change a single line of HTML or even PHP code.
Latest Release
- Version 1.4.2 as of 28th of October 2007
This release is a pure bugfix release which fixes the incompiances which have been introduced by the idiots of the WP TEAM (they just did not think about all the themes and plugins which made use of parts of the DB structure) when they introduced WordPress 2.3. Concerning Binary Blue, this affects the archives page and the asides configuration only. So if you don’t use either feature, you may stills tick to the 1.4.1 release, but for everybody else the bugfix release is strongly recommanded. I won’t answer any help requests any longer which concern these issues.

hmmm, I am still seeing the post there, and the problem still exists.
Meanwhile, I am trying to recover from an upgrade problem with WordPress. I no longer have any entries after upgrading to the new WP 2.01

Just turned this article to draft and everything seems fine/

You’re absolutely right! There is a problem with this article.
Thanks for pointing me to the reason of the problem DJ Allyn!

Have you tried turning that particular entry to draft to see if the problem is resolved? From what I am seeing, there is something else going on with that entry.

Thank you for the reply DJ Allyn!
I removed the quotation marks and now the sidebar goes below
the articles in Firefox too.
I made localization changes but I also translate some comments in
sidebar.php, theloop.php and some other files. I changed the style.css
but I mostly made font/color changes.
I’ll compare now the original style.css with mine. Maybe I’ll find something …
Thank you once again!

CountZero,
If you are interested in the Shoutbox plugin (the live chat I put on my site) you can find it at AJAX Shoutbox by Jalenack. I think it is a great addition to your theme.

Web,
I can see right away what the problem is. You cannot put quotation marks in your titles. The entry I see causing the trouble is “VIVATEL” - “и аз бях там”… и сега приказвам …
As far as the changes you’ve made, are they CSS changes, or localization changes?

Hello,
Firstly thank you for the great theme!
I have two questions if you don’t mind
1. How can I make an update from version 0.9.1 to
version 0.9.5 (6) without losing the theme changes I’ve made?
2. I just noticed a problem with slidebar under IE6 on the start page.
).
The sidebar moves below all articles.
I’ll be thankful for any idea what the problem can be.
I checked all files but I didn’t see anything wrong (probably I miss
something
Thank you!

Short news: in the styleswitch box now you can find another new scheme that demonstrates the simple switch from two to three column layout
The small changes I needed to realize on the theme’s files will take part in the upcoming 0.9.6 release. So from now on everybody who likes three column layouts is not handicapped anymore to use Binary Blue as a base for his theming efforts

Hi Ville,
the layout makes use of many cascaded divs, so a missing one may result in several side effects at once.
just ran across your site through technorati a few minutes ago and saw the problem with my own eyes. it seems as if you have broken the buttons div in sidebar.php by accident. as the buttons aren’t displayed in posts and pages, it’s sort of logic that this does not affect them
nice job on the header graphics and the topmenu, by the way - it looks very nice.

Hi,
Thank you very much for excellent theme, I just installed it to my blog with slight modifications:
Usko Järkeen.
Unfortunately, I seem to have broken something in the process e.g. the backround image is visible also in Sidebar and middle. In addition, the container is also broken (black lines don’t match) below the top. Any tips where to start look for these errors would be greatly preciated! (”About”-page is still correct, hmm…)
