Introduction
Binary Blue is a fully WP 2.5 compliant, heavily AJAX enhanced WordPress theme. Its ZIP package contains more than a dozen different schemes, among them the fabulous True Blue style, which is an improved port of the style with the same name originally created by Steve Lam and included with his explicit permission.
Binary Blue contains a fully degradable AJAX enhanced Paged Comments function, which is sort of world exclusive at the current point of time, as there’s no other WordPress plugin or theme yet, which would support such a feature.
Each of the AJAX enhanced features degrade automatically and gracefully if a visitor with a non-javascript browser visits the blog; the functionality then defaults automatically to the default behaviour of any common theme.
Binary Blue is not only a “simple” theme but a complete theme suite resp. sort of a theme platform, which enables you as the user to configure lots of options, so you can customize the complete theme without the need to change a single line of HTML or even PHP code.

This release is a pure bugfix release which fixes the incompiances which have been introduced by the idiots of the WP TEAM (they just did not think about all the themes and plugins which made use of parts of the DB structure) when they introduced WordPress 2.3. Concerning Binary Blue, this affects the archives page and the asides configuration only. So if you don’t use either feature, you may stills tick to the 1.4.1 release, but for everybody else the bugfix release is strongly recommanded. I won’t answer any help requests any longer which concern these issues.

Die mit Binary Blue mitgelieferten Widgets sind speziell auf BB zugeschnitten und nicht kompatibel zu anderen Themes.

Darf ich fragen, wie weit du mit dem Binary Blue v2 bist? bei dir auf der Seite läuft es ja offensichtlich schon recht gut…

Auch Dir ein herzliches Dankeschön! Ich hatte das Plugin “Link Indication” per Zufall schon vorher gefunden und implementiert. Jetzt läuft auch das Plugin Acronyms (by Joel Pan) auf meiner Seite und ich bin hundszufrieden mit allem.

mein link-plugin, auf das du anspielst, ist Link Indication.
die abkürzungen werden mit Acronym Replacer ersetzt.
@michael: das phänomen kenne ich in erster linie durch inkompatiblititäten neuer plugins, die beispielsweise ihr eigenes prototype mitbringen und gnadenlos laden, ohne rücksicht auf verluste. schau mal, ob du da in der richtung etwas geändert hast.

@Carsten: ich hab ein anderes, kleines Problem: ohne das ich was verändert hätte gehen die Inlinekommentare nicht mehr - er tut als würde er sie aufmachen - leider macht ers aber nicht wirklich - hättest du eine Idee was dran schuld sein könnte?

Mir ist ein kleiner Fehler aufgefallen, der sich wie folgt zeigt:
Sorry, aber ich muss Dich nochmals nerven und das, bevor Du überhaupt auf meinen letzten Kommentar geantwortet hast - Doppel-Sorry (!!) aber vielleicht gehen meine Kommentare jetzt in einem Antwort-Abwasch
Sobald ich über meine Sidebar durch meine Page navigiere (bspw. Klicken auf Kategorien, Tags, Kalender, etc.) und dann, nachdem im Hauptfenster entsprechendes als Short-version angezeigt wird, ich auf die Überschrift klicke, um mir den ganzen Artikel anschauen zu können, schmeißt meine Page mir die komplette Sidenbar unter die Comments im Hauptfenster. Die Sidebar verschwindet praktisch und taucht im Hauptfenster unter den Posts und Kommentaren auf. Ist das gewollt? Wenn nicht, wie kann ich den Fehler beheben?
Genau das selbe geschieht übrigens, wenn ich ein Posting kommentieren will und auf “Kommentieren” klicke. Dabei habe ich diesbezüglich garantiert nix im Code verändert.

Vielen Dank für Deine hilfreichen Ratschläge (obwohl: welches plugin muss ich denn installieren, um die akronyme zu aktivieren und wo kann ich es finden?).
Ich habe das mit dem header soweit hinbekommen und es sieht eigentlich ganz gut aus. War ein Kampf, den automatisch generierten Blogtitle rauszukriegen, funzt aber jetzt.
Vielleicht noch eine letzte Frage: Wie machst Du das mit den Icons? Ich habe das File Icons Plugin installiert, habe aber das Problem, Icons für links so zu aktivieren, dass nicht überall, wo links sind, ein Icon generiert wird, sondern nur im Inhalt eines Postings oder einer Seite. Hast Du einen Tipp?

das sieht doch im großen und ganzen bei dir schon gut und richtig aus.
ich habe, anders als das mit WP mitgelieferte theme, keine direkte möglichkeit vorgesehen, die headergrafik über das admin-panel auszutauschen (macht man ja eher selten) - am einfachsten ist es, da einfach das headerbild selbst im image-verzeichnis des jeweils verwendeten schemes auszutauschen.
bzg. der akronyme - das ist ein einfaches WP-plugin, welches die posts auf bekannte abkürzungen untersucht und sie in ein <abbr>-tag einschließt. den rest macht binary blue von alleine über die integrierte fancy-tooltips-funktion.
