Ich betreibe heute mal etwas Hausarbeit im virtuellen Häuschen - etwas aufräumen hier (nicht mehr genutzte Plugins rauswerfen etwa), etwas putzen dort (einige sehr alte Posts enthielten immer noch falsch codierte Umlaute, was aber durch mein Clean Umlauts Plugin nie in euren Browsern auffiel)… Unter anderem habe ich dabei meine Sidebar umstrukturiert und mache nun sinnvollen Gebrauch von einem der neuen Features, die ich für das kommende Binary Blue v2 implementiert habe - nämlich die vollkommen transparente und über Widgets konfigurierbare Möglichkeit bis zu vier Sidebars einzusetzen. Außerdem sind einige nicht mehr brauchbare bzw. nicht mehr benötigte Plugins über die Klinge gesprungen. Hell, first english post of mine for ages, and then it’s not some more or less useful news but a desperate call for help due to some nuisance which is obviously caused by some incomplience between WordPress 2.3 Beta and Ultimate Tag Warrior PI edition. You can see my problem live, if you just switch to the Archives static page, scroll down to the tag cloud and try to view the posts of one of the tags. You will run into a 404 error. And now my problem: I just cannot get rid of this fucking 404 error. It is regardless whether I use URL rewriting for the tags or not, it just does not matter!. Das war das erste, das mir durch den Kopf ging, als ich die neue Version 2.3 des Antispam-Plugins Spamkarma 2 bei mir hochlud, in Betrieb genommen hatte und anschließend die Startseite meines Blogs aufrief. Dank einiger von SK2 automatisch erzeugter zusätzlicher Indizes auf wesentlichen WP-Tabellen in der Datenbank ist die gesamte Ladezeit des Blogs um einen deutlich spürbaren Faktor beschleunigt worden. Dr. Dave hat in der Ankündigung seiner neuen Version diesbezüglich also wirklich nicht zuviel versprochen. I’ve been informed a few days ago that the Paged Comments feature in BB generally works wonderful but has one drawback - the permalinks for the comments don’t point to the appropriate comment page. Neither do the comments links on the dashboard (admin panel) nor the list that is generated through the popular Brian’s Latest Comments plugin. So I sat down this evening, once I was back home from the office, to analyzie the possibility to fix these drawbacks, and I was, generally speaking, pretty successful ;).
