So langsam aber sicher habe ich das Gefühl, ich sollte dieses Kuriositätenkabinett umbenennen, und zwar in Richtung “die spannendsten Perversionen im Internet” oder so. Es ist unfassbar, welche kranken Menschen sich in unserem Land herumtreiben und wonach im Internet überall gesucht wird. Doch seht selbst:

I’ve been informed through the automated annotation service that’s integrated in the popular Spamkarma 2 plugin for WordPress that everybody, regardless of the WordPress version used, should deactivate the “everyone can register” free guest registration immediately, due to security reasons. Apparently there’s a major security hole contained in WordPress in connection to this feature …

I just hacked a small bugfix release v1.5.11 for the popular Brian’s Latest Comments WordPress plugin, coz his latest 1.5.10 release doesn’t work with WordPress 2.1, due to changes in the wpdb class structure.

It seems as if comment spammers are about to proceed to the next level. Obviously SpamKarma2 has evolved to be a serious threat to their kind, and more and more WordPress based bloggers start using it as well as putting comments from first time commenters into the moderation queue automatically.
