Matching almost perfectly with the release of WordPress version 2.0.2, I am proud to present the latest v1.0.1 release of my Binary Blue theme suite. It is available for download at the usual location on the Binary Blue page. The list of changes is detailed at its usual location, as well, the complete changelog page
Installation
If you have downloaded Binary Blue for the first time in your life, you should follow the installation routine being described in the following list:
Extract the ZIP file to a directory of your choice - keep the subdirectory structure!
Open your <wordpress dir>/wp-content/themes directory and create a new directory, e.g. “BinaryBlue”. It is recommended not to use whitespaces in the theme directory name as this is known to cause issues on several systems. At least it’s against naming conventions in webserver environments and thus no good practise.
Copy the contents of the ZIP file that you have extracted to the new directory.
IMPORTANT!!!! Make sure you have set up your wordpress installation correctly, especially the WPLANG locale definition in your wp-config.php! This variable … Kompletten Post lesen
So, finally it’s done - Binary Blue 1.0 is out. The baby grew pretty mature in the past few weeks, but as everybody knows, adolescense may be a pain in the ass, so was debugging of one or two bugs
The final version incorporates a new and currently world exclusive feature - AJAX Paged Comments directly and seemlessly integrated into a theme. There even doesn’t exist any wordpress plugin in the net yet, which would deliver the same or even part of this functionality! I am pretty sure, you will love this feature, as it decreases the server load on posts and pages with many comments significantly - not to mention how cool it looks like

My Binary Blue Wordpress theme suite approaches Version 1.0. This evening I implemented a fully configurable and degradable AJAX enhanced paged comments feature - the most important task I still had on my must-have todo list
You can see the first early and fully functional version onsite. Just visit the posts or pages with more than ten comments, and you will be able to see it in action (e.g. directly on the theme’s main page, or on my recent post about the severe Safari security issue.
